Sir

	Mr. Johnson writes me that he has got the Record of the Tryal at the Assizes at Durham in1767 about the Lead Way from Edmondbiers to Blaydon drawn up & will send it to you in two or three days - you will let me know whether you will pay him the Charge of it, or I may do it if he brings he brings his Bill to me.

	The inclosed Letter my Sister Headlam desires you will keep till my Brother calls upon you, or you know how to Convey it to him - it contains, she says, Details of what has been done respecting his Writings & other things - & about her own Affairs & removal to Hexham, whither she went yesterday - in all this business she has followed her own Opinion or the Advice of Sawyer Wilson & is as I wrote you before. - for I neither chose nor had time to engage in so disagreeable a Matter - besides I did not approve of her going to Hexham nor of some other Resolutions she has taken - I hear my Brother has been with you since your last Accot. of him and wonder much what a way of life he is fallen into -  PS.  Sir Walter is still very much out of order                                                                         I am etc             HR

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
