To Mr William Alvey Darwin Newcas[tle] 9th May 1764 Grays Inn London Sir Inclosed herewith you receive W[ilia]m Clayton’s bill on Thomas Bagshaw & Son for Three hundred pounds, & my bill on Thomas & Browne for One hundred & ninety five pounds; wch will enable you to pay Mr Savage’s half year’s int[e]rest due 6th instant & I desire you will advise me of the Receipt of these bills accordingly. You also receive inclosed herewith the said W[ilia]m Clayton’s bill on Thomas Bagshaw & Son for Three hundred & twenty pounds; & John Sharp’s bill on James Sharp for Eighteen pounds ten shillings, & a Bank of England Bill for Ten pounds amounting together to £348.10.0 for which I desire you will send me a Receipt, as usual, on acco[un]t of the quarterly payments made & to be made by you for Sir W[alte]r Blackett between 31st March last & 30th June next. P.S. When Sir W[alte]r Blackett pays off Mr Brockett, I should be glad to receive a new list of the payments.
