Sir      Sir Walter Blackett writes me that you pay annually some little Charity Money for him, & desires me to repay you  __  if you will be so good as to let me know what it is & to send me a receipt by any person you would have me pay the Money to, I shall readily do it.  P.S,  You will please to mention in the receipt that the Money is received by my hands.              I am etc    HR

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
