To Mr Wm Radley

Sr

I recd. yours of the 7th Instant and observe what you say & the answers you give to our Remarks upon the Printed Lease and what is Intended to be done at the next General Court Concerning a power to be given us about Selling a little Hay or straw. I observe also what you say about all the other Remarks and upon the whole I think that if Care be taken filling them up, they may be made nearly to <suite> most of the Farmers.

I wish heartily that as my Partner Mr Walton is now in Town some of them were filled up and got signed, I shall write to him of it this Day and I hope you will forward it.

You Promised to send me a Copy of the Attorney Generals Opinion about the <Fines> being due at the Death of the of the Late Lord, but since I hear you have sent Mr Airey one, pray if there was none Due at the Death of the Lord beheaded is there not one due on the Death of the Late Mr Radcliff.

We have never had any Orders to Demand the fines nor the Certain Customary Rents of Keswick &c tho’ it is near about 12 Months since the Act was obtaind which I wonder at. I am

Sr Yr hble Servt
