Portman square London Sir I have been favoured with your Letter of the 6th. inst. enclosing Mr. Williamson’s Opinion which I have put into the Hands of Mr. Heron with Direction to prepare a proper Surrender of the Leases now to be renewed, to pass a Fine accordingly, the Draft of which to be approved of by Mr. Williamson on the part of Coln. Beaumont, as well as on that of the Bishop of Durham, the Drafts of the undermentioned Leases are now with Mr. Heron, I am ignorant of any others which may have been granted by Coln. Beaumont under the Inspection of Mr. Bell; the Leases of the Mines were granted by the Bishop of Durham to the late Sir Thos. Blackett, the Lives in which are I believe at this time existing. – I am &c. J.E.B Drat. of a Lease of a Colliery in the Township of Wall in the Chapelry of St. Oswald in the Parish of St. JohnLee <R>everly for 15 years from the 12th. May 1802 at £25 – a year. Thos. Rd.
