Mrs Beaumont under Cover to Newcastle Dec 22 1804 Colonel Beaumont Portman Square, London Dear Madam, I am favoured with your Letters of the 18th, & 19thInst & observe the Contents. Mr Losh’s Name is James of which Heron has informed Mr R Wilson. Mr Sadlers Salary will commence from the 5th July last, T. Crawhall will with Mr Thomas be at Dukesfield the 31st Inst to receive the Books from Mr Hunter & deliver them to Mr Sadler, when on his finally settling his Acco[unts], the Balance for the Purchase of the Steel Hall Estate will be paid to him. I have not heard from Mr Bowns or Mr Cockshutt but suppose that they acquiesce in the Time names for their being at the Mines. I have not sold any Lead since my last, and there are at present at Blaydon only 1546 p[iece[s of Lead Refined Com[mon] & Slag & 6,603 p[iece]s of refinable. I have this week sold Messrs Walkers & Co 170 Casks of Litharge, of which 72 Casks are wanting. On Monday a very fine Cake of Silver, received this from Blaydon Refinery w[eigh]t 1550 Ozs will be sent by the London Waggon to Messrs Rundle & Bridge of which they are already advised.
