Mr Isaac Hunter Dukesfield 				Newcastle 11th Ap[ril] 1795

              

Sir	As I have made a further Sale of Lead & will be short of Refin’d, I shall be glad if you could get 1000 P[iece]s sent down to Blaydon as soon as possible to prevent any demur in the payment.  I likewise desire that you will send me down an Account of the Rookhope 8 Stone Lead that was delivered last year that I may know what is upon the Roads to come in, as I shall not pay for it without it is delivered before the Pay, & in future I desire that the Monthly Accot may be regularly sent to me as a guide to make the Sales of Lead    I am

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
