Mr Hunter N.Castle 20th. Mar. 1802 Dukesfield Mr. I. Hunter I have received the Accounts of the Ore Carriage Pay from Allen & Allenheads Smelt Mills which are very distinct & regular, those from Dukesfield & Rookhope are much otherwise, so that the Quantity of Ore from each Mine, as well as the several prices, are not described, & the Ore Pay cannot be made till I have such Accounts sent me, which I expect may be done immediately, & that you will likewise make out & send me an Account of the Lead Carriage Pay from Dukesfield Smelt Mill as I am determined on that Pay being made very early the next Month. – Coln. & Mrs. Beaumont have taken Notice, that you do not send an Account of the State & Produce, with the Profit &c. of Dukesfield Smelt Mill & Refinery, as is done of the latter by Mr. Mulcaster: as the Mill & Mine Pays will be on the 26th, 27th, & 28th. of May, I shall expect to receive your Pay Bill & Account when you come down to this Place on the 3d. May. I am &c. J.E.B.
