Sir     I received your Letter & think you must be mistaken as to the Quantity of Lead necessary to keep the Refinery at Blaydon at Work; for last Year they refined 5056 p[iece]s of 11 Stone & 9556 p[iece]s of 8 Stone which are equal to 11881 p[iece]s of the Common Size  _ & on an Average for the three Years last past there has been refined at Blaydon & made into Litharge 13127 p[iece]s so I think it will be necessary that at least 1000 p[iece]s of refinable Lead more than the Quantity you mention should be sent down to Blaydon this year.   Refined Lead is in demand & I desire it may be hastened down & as much refined as you think may Answer.   When may I expect a piece of Silver?  I do not recollect what Sir Walter desired you to do at Hexham     I am with Comp[limen]ts to Mrs Hunter etc                       J. E. B.
