Coln. & Mrs. Beaumont left this Place on Sunday afternoon, they would reach Bretton on Monday & proceed for Buxton as this Day where the Colonel is advised, and I hope that he may receive a Benefit. Thos. Crawhall went with Mr. Cockshutt on Monday morning to Blaydon & Dukesfield and was to proceed to the several Mines & Lead Mills; I expect them back on Thursday the <11>th. inst. with the several Agents with whom Mr. Cockshutt is to have a Meeting on the 12th. and I think that it would be well if you could make it convenient to to be here; the Stewards receive the Subsistence Money for the Workmen that Day instead of Tuesday the 16th. – T. Crawhall could not inspect the Loading of the Goods on Monday Morning, but Brown the Cook & Scott did, the latter informs me that three pair of Sheets six Pillow slips and three Blanketts that came from the Office were sent to Hexham.
