The Refining Bellows you advised me of some time ago have since arrived at this place, and on examination have been found to answer to the dimensions sent you – I now enclose you Mess. Surtees Burdon & Cos. Bill on Mess. Ransom Morland & Co. @ 40 Days dated this day for Thirty Pounds Sixteen Shillings, being the Amount of your Invoice, which you will please to acknowledge the Receipt of  - I am Sir &c. J:E:B:

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale.
