Mr Luke Noble No 17 Leicester Street Newcas 1st March 1778 Leicester Fields London Sir I received your Favour of the 26th instant with a Copy of Mr Allens Letter to you. The 18th January last I remitted a Bill to Mr Thomas Wall Paper Buildings in the Temple for £157.10s.0d being for half a Years Composition for Weardale Tithe Ore due this 14th Febry from Sir Thomas Blackett to the Revd Dr Thurlow. I requested Mr Wall that he would make this Payment. Mr Wall acknowledged the Receipt of my Letter & promised me to do it, of which Messrs Childs were advised. For the future I shall make the Remittance either to Dr Thurlow or Messrs Childs which ever will be most agreeable to the Doctor. If he is in London I wish you would call on him, have his Answer & advise me. I am etc JEB
