Sir       Inclosed I send you a Bill drawn by Messrs Bell Carr & Co on Castell & Co of this date at One Month for Two Thousand Pounds on Sir Thos. Blackett’s Account the receipt of which you will please to acknowledge.  I imagine that Sir Thos. Blackett may be at Thorp, or at Mr Walkers at this time.

     The Iron Sneck for a Gate which Sir Thos. Blackett was so kind to promise me is not yet come to hand.  Please to send it by the Carriers, & at your leisure I will be obliged to you for a Drawing of the Mill for the Grinding of Bones.             I am etc    John E. Blackett
