Dr Sir	I was favoured with your letter with a Copy of Fenwicks observations on the proposed Turnpike Road in wch I cannot agree with him being of opinion that this Road even carried 3 Miles further west to Burtreeford will not be of that benefit to Mr Bs concerns in Weardale wch Mr Fenwick Represents but as Mr Emerson must be a much better judge of this matter than I can pretend to be I have sent him a Copy of Mr Fenwicks observations desiring to have his full remarks on each wch when I receive shall be inclosed to you _ I had a letter from Mr Walton Jr Agent to Greenwich Hospital respecting the alteration of a Clause in the Bill & likewise a very proper <priviso> a Copy of wch I inclose you _ I delayed Answering your letter in hopes of Receiving the Bill from Mr Bell wch I have not yet but when I do it shall be sent as you direct

	Inclosed I send you the Opinions of the several Lead Agents Respecting the Division of a part of the Common within the Manor of Hexham, how far such division may be an Advantage or disadvantage to Mr Bs Concerns _ In my letter Mr B of the 24th inst I acquainted him with the time that the several Pays are to be made Viz the 1st, 2nd, & 3rd May wch is as late as we could with any Propriety make them & likewise the sum that will be required to make them with the Subsistence for the Workmen & the Candle Bills  At the time that I made the Sale for the 30000 p[iece]s Lead I was under a necessity of allowing a longer Credit, otherwise I could not have obtained the Price I now wish that it had been otherwise but it cannot be amended & the Bills that I am to Receive of Mr Hall & Mr C Blackett on Monday next will be at 2 Mo[nth[s date of this I have acquainted Messrs Surtees & Burdon & likewise what Sum will be wanted from them in £5 Notes & in Cash we shall take as little Cash as possible not exceeding £12000                                                                I am etc    J.E.B
