 Dear Madam     I am favoured with your Letter & am glad to hear That the Family at Alresford are well.   Inclosed you have a Bill for £20 being the Sum paid me by Mr Carr of Eshot the 15th July last on account of Int[e]rest due on his Bond    I observe by Mr Rollestones Letter That Mrs Astle will be of Age in July next & I am desired by Sir John Trevelyan to acquaint you That the Principal & Int[e]rest on the late Sir Walter Blacketts Bond will be paid off at that Time by Mr Thomas Wall Paper Buildings in the Temple London on a proper discharge being given on the several Bonds     I had a Letter from Mrs Astle the other Day  desiring me to remit to her the Int[e]rest due from Mr Carr & Sir John Trevelyan & am sorry to find That she takes it much amiss that I should have any Difficulty about taking her Receipt but have answered her Letter    P.S.  In case Capt[ai]n Astle should not be in England in July it will be necessary That he should appoint a Person by a Power of Attorney to receive his Share of the Money.  I am etc      J E B.
