Gentn       I am favoured with your Letter of the 20th instant with your account of the price of Silver viz.  983 Oz 10 Dwt [pennyweight] at 6s  - £295.1.0   I apprehend there is a Mistake & that the piece of Silver weighed only 893 Oz. 10 dwt at 6s amounts to 268.1.0    You will please to let me know if I am right that it may be placed to your Account accordingly. The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
