Mr. Robt. Makepeace Newcastle 15th. Octr. 1801 Serle Street, Lincoln’s Inn Fields London Sir I yesterday sent you p[er] Jackson & Co. the London Carriers a ps. fine Silver containing twelve hundred & forty Ounces, which I desire you will place to Account with Thos. Rd. Beaumont Esqr. at the Market Price and advise me on your Receipt of the same. – Since I sent you the last Piece I have obtained 6s/0 ½ p[er] Oz. for fine Silver at this Place, & hope you will not charge the above at a lower Rate. I am &c. J.E.B. P.S. I have Applications from Sheffield, Birmingham and this Place to take all the Silver I may have to dispose of.
