Sir

	On the 18th instant I drew a Bill on you at a months Date payable to Messrs Bell Cookson and Co for £266.7s.4d being the Amount for the last piece of Silver sent you.  I have no doubt of your paying due honour to my Bill.  Messrs Plumb & Browne have allowed 0 1/2 d an Ounce more than you have done for two pieces of Silver sent about the same time.                                 I am etc        JEB

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
