Dear Sir

	I wrote to you the 5th instant to which refer you.  I received your Favour of the 6th instant and observe that you possibly may have occasion for more Money during your Stay in London.  I have wrote to desire Messrs Plumb & Browne to supply you advising me of the same.  Mr Bell will not be with me till the End of the Month but shall write to him about Mr Bowmans Bond & if any offer should be made for Warden Living I will acquaint you.

	I shall acquaint Genl Beckwith your Answer etc.  The 2d Battalion of the Royals are here stop’d at this Place.  The Northumd Militia are at Tynemouth Barracks & after being reviewed here the 18th expect to be ordered to Berwick & part of the Yorkshire Militia to move here.  We have an armed Ship at Shields & have applied for a 20 Gun Ship & a Detachment of the Artillery to be at Cliffords Fort.  This I hope may be sufficient to protect this Coast from any Insult.  Mr & Mrs Wilson are well & desire their Compts.  Doctor & Mrs Drake are with them at present.                           I am with respect etc        JEB
