Dear Sr

	My last Letter to you was the 26th Ulto to which refer you.  The transaction with the Bishop of Durham is now concluded & I hope to your Satisfaction.  There was a misunderstanding between Mr Bell & Mr Dew with respect to the Fines for a Renewal of the Lease of the Lands the Particulars of which I shall acquaint you with when we meet.  I have Business which will prevent me being at Ripon before the 26th or 27th instant; any Time after that for a Fortnight you will find me there.  I had desired Mr Clayton to bring down the Leases and to forward them to me from Boroughbridge to Ripon but on second Consideration the Ceremony of Livery & Seizin should not be delayed & I have desired Mr Clayton to send the Leases in a Tin Case by some of the Machines on Sunday Monday Morning the 17th instant directed for Josa Wilson Esqr at Pontefract.  Mr Wilson has wrote to desire he would send over his Servant to Bretton with it as it must be forwarded to me imediately by the Fly you probably will go over to Mr Wilsons at Pontefract to Execute the Leases there in which Case Mr Wilson must be acquainted with it to prevent his sending it to Bretton.  Mr Wilson writes to you by me.

	The Power of Attorney executed by you came to me by Post.  At present there is little Demand for Lead, the last I sold was at £19.5s.0d p Fother.

	P.S.  I have this moment received the new Leases from London by the Fly & am etc
