Dear Sir       Inclosed I send you a Bill drawn by Eden Ridley & Co. on Castell & Co. dated the 5rd  inst. at One Month for £2000 the receipt of which be pleased to acknowledge; you will observe there are two new Partners in the Bank Sir M. W. Ridley comes into it in the room of Mr Ralph Carr who retires Sir J Eden in the room of the late Mr Bell until his Nephew Mr N. Bell comes of Age.   Lead continues at the same Price Viz £16.15. & £17.  but there is little or no demand for it at present except for Messrs Walker & Co.s  White & Red Lead Works, & I have near 10,000 Pieces of Refin’d Lead yet to Deliver of the Quantity that I have sold wch. will require some Months to Compleat.   I have not heard any thing further from Mr Dew but I thought it Advisable to have Thos. Hepple Brought to this Place where he could be lodged & taken care of he has been here ten days & is so much improved in Health etc that I think him much better than he was four Years ago when you last renew’d.

   Richd. Allgood formerly Agent a Allenheads to whom you Allowed £10 P Year, died last Month & has left a Widow between 80 & 90 Years of Age in very indigent Circumstances she was a Daughter of Armstrong formerly Principal Agent to Sir William Blackett it would be very kind of you to continue the Allowance to her, I think that she cannot live above a Year or two.
