The Revd Mr Faber  at Calverley near Bradford                        Newcas[tle]   12th  Septr. 1777

      Yorkshire

Sir    I am favoured with your Letter of the 30th Ult. & observe That you have paid Mrs Bradford Twelve Pounds since you last settled with the late Sir Walter Blackett which Sum I shall pay you when I have the Pleasure of seeing you.   I think it would be a pity that the Poor of Calverley should suffer owing to the Illness of my late worthy Friend whose Intentions I am satisfied were that his Charitys should be distributed as usual.  I must therefore request the favour of you to dispose of Twelve Guineas to the Poor of Calverley taking notice of James Booth & Hann[a]h Pickard as usual     this Sum I think had best be distributed immediately.

     I shall bring the £100 with me sometime next Month & shall be glad to meet you at Sir Thos. Blacketts     you shall be acquainted of the Times.    I am etc            J E. B 



P.S.  I herewith send you two Bank Notes amounting to £35 the Receipt of which you will please to acknowledge by return of Post & send me your Account & the Receipts for Mrs Bradfords Money paying her the Allowance made by Sir Walter Blackett of £12 per annum  to the 14th Febr[uar]y & likewise the half Years Ann[uit]y of £6. 6s.0d  I have inclosed Receipts for both w[hi]ch you will please to get her to sign  _  Two London Bank Bills  No.  C 144.  _ £25.0s.0d  No. B 608  £10.0s.0d       J.E.B.
