Thomas Meyer Esqr. York Newcas. 9th April 1776 Sir I am favoured with your Letters of the 27th and 31st Ulto. & observe that you have examined Mr Fenwicks Assignment & are of the Opinion That the sole right to the remaining Sum on the Bond now rests in Mr Fenwick. Inclosed you have Messrs. Bell & Cos. Bill on Hallifax & Co. for £211 . 16s . 10d which I must request the favour of you to pay to Mr Fenwick; seeing him sign a Receipt on the Bond for £200 & likewise two other Receipts for the said Sum & the Intrest which will be my Voucher for these payments _ You have my best Thanks for the trouble that you have been so obliging to take.
