Dear Sir	I am favoured with your letter of the 27th inst & I now enclose you two Bills for £7159 - 5 - 7 the Receipt of which be pleased to acknowledge; the middle of next Month I shall send you a Bill for £4000 the payment of which Sum has to be delayed on Account of a Quantity of Refin’d Lead not being come down to Blaydon in due time _ Your Lead Agents were with me on the 22 inst for Subsistence for the Workmen when I took up at Messrs Surtees & Burdon’s Bank £1570 for that purpose _ I am in treaty with Messrs Walker & Co for some Lead for their Works & have Offered Refined £14-15  Common £14-10 to be paid in Six Months by Bills at Two Months dates; but I am apprehensive that they will not comply with these terms for I am informed that the Lead Co have Sold 10000 p[iece]s to Lancaster & Co & Walkers & Maltby at £14-10 per Fo[dde]r much the greater part of which is Refin’d & the Credit longer                                                                               I am etc  J.E.B
