Sir     As the making any change in the Payments of Sir John Trevelyan’s Annuitants may be attended with some confusion, Sir John has come to a resolution of continuing the payment of them with you as heretofore, should you have no objection to it?  on your applying to Messrs. Simond & Hankey you will receive from them the £200 remitted to them, or the balance remaining in their hands w[hi]ch with £100 more w[hi]ch I shall remit you will, I believe enable you to make the several payments agreeable to the inclosed Accts.  Please to favor me with your Answer.    I am etc  J. E. B.

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
