Mr Thomas Wall Paper Buildings Newcas 24th Octor 1777 Temple London Sir Inclosed you will receive two Bills drawn by Messrs. Bell Cookson & Co on Messrs. Castell Whately & Powell dated 20 instant at twelve Days date One for £20 Pounds Eight shillings & two pence the other for Sixteen Hundred & thirty five Pounds eight Shillings; the former is to pay Mr Darwins Bill for Business on Account of Sir John Trevelyan & Sir Thos. Blackett the latter to pay the said Gentleman two Bonds of the late Sir Walter Blacketts to him; One for £700 the other for £900 with Int[e]rest thereon to 4th Novem[be]r next. I have wrote this Post to acquaint Mr Darwin & you will please to get him to sign Receipts for the Principals on the Bonds & the inclosed Receipt for the Int[e]rest Please to acknowledge the Receipt of these Bills & when the Bonds are Discharged send them to me. What money you may receive on Acco[un]t of Mr Morrows Bond which Mr Darwin left in your hands you will give Sir John Trevelyans Account Credit on advising me of the same.
