To Messrs Watts George & Co. NewCa. 16th. Octor. 1788 Bristol Gentlemen Your favour of the 10th inst. directed to Sir Thos. Blackett came to my Hands by the last post & I observe the Contents; the last parcel of Lead I sold for the Lond[o]n Markett was at £23 p For. I can now sell you any quantity not exceeding 1500 For. at £22 for the Refin’d £21.15.0 for Common, & in Case you take a quantity I may go something lower; the Newc[astle] For. is 21 Cwt, of 112 lb or 2352 lb there are very few Opportunities of shipping Lead f[ro]m hence to y[ou]r port, the usual Freight to London is 7d p <pig> of ab[ou]t 168 lb each. I am at this time in treaty with some Merch[an]ts in London for a larger Quantity. I am w[i]th respect Gentlemen Yo[u]r most obed. Serv[an]t J. E. B. Since the above I have sold 2000 For. so that I have not any to dispose of at present.
