Sir Your several Letters of the 19th, 22nd, 27 & 28th Ult came duly to hand inclosing a Copy of the several Codicils that were made during the late Sir Walter Blacketts Illness _ An Acco[un]t of your several Quarterly Payments An Account of Sir Walter Blacketts Debts & Legacies and likewise a general account of the same with the late Mr Richmonds Valuation of the Estates _ When I have examined this Account & made my Observations on it shall return it to you; at present I think you are mistaken in the first Article of the present Account which you make £126423 and I think & hope it is only £86423 You are perfectly right in your Remark that the personalty should be applied in Payment of Debts as soon as possible to reduce the Yearly Int[e]rest and I shall take proper Steps accordingly _ Mr Gibson has not yet settled with me & paid me Mr Swinburns proportion of the Int[e]rest viz. £397 . 3s . 3d _ I observe what you say with respect to the Deeds & papers sent in a Box directed to me by the Carrier on Monday the 24 Ult[im]o I expect to receive them on Thursday next when you shall be advised of the same Inclosed you will receive a Bill drawn by Bell Cookson & Co on Castell Whately & Powell of this date at 20 d[ays] for £700 which please to place to Acco[un]t & advise me of the Receipt _ When Sir Edwd. Winnington is paid please to send me the Receipt I am etc J E B.
