Sir    I received your Letter of the 6 instant & am greatly shock’d at the Acount you give of poor Sir Wr Blackett  _  God grant that the Bleeding & blistering may have the wished for Effect and carry off his Disorder.  I shall be very uneasy till I hear from you & I pray God that I may have a good Account     I received inclosed Doctor Thurlows Receipt & observe that you will pay Sir Edwd. Winningtons int[ere]st money when the Bill I sent you for that purpose becomes due  _  What you mention with res[pect to Mrs Scotts interest money as well as the Money paid Lucy <Groppetty> I shall observe in the further Remittances I make you     Sir Wr Blackett wrote me that he had in his hands £800 paid of the Sum of £1000 that he had received of Mrs Gordon that he would send it me or that I might draw for it as I thought proper     I wrote to him that I would draw a Bill on you for that Sum some day the last Week & accordingly I have drawn on you the 8th instant at 20 Days Date in favour of Messrs. Bell Cookson & Cos for Eight Hundred Pounds which you will please to pay when due.   I am etc                       J E Blackett
