I duly received and would have sooner answered it but I waited in hopes of seeing or hearing from Mr. Mowbray respecting the Business of the renewal of the Leases of Kilhope & Welhope as well as that of Lintzgarth, the rentals of which have been shewn to him: Coln. Beaumont wishes to exchange the Life of Geo: Robson who is in good health at present, and resides at Croft in Yorkshire, Certificates of him & Wm. Sykes being living, as well as the Names of the two fresh Lives, I expect to have it in my Power to send you in a few Days; the existing Lease I am ready to Surrender to Mr. Mowbray whenever he may please to call on me. The Person to whom Possession may be given in the Name of the Lease will be Thos. Emerson of Newhouse in Weardale. I am &c. – J.E.B.
