I have nothing at all to write you but onely to advise you that I have a small bill presented unto me for £10: - : - of wch my master hath noe advice, howsomever itt being such a small some will pay itt but for the future my master desires that w[he]n you draw any bills upon him you will be pleased to give him advice thereof soe remaines JW p[er] MB

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
