A Copy of a Letter sent John Cleaver Esqr. Alston 15th Dec. 1776 Dear Sir, In my last I mentioned we would want about £250 for your share to make the Alstonmoor pays, since which I have settled the Accot and find that £250 is the sum will be wanted for your share therefore I hope you will be so obliging as remit me the first opportunity. I have fixed to go to Newcastle on Monday 7th Jany. In order to take up Lord Carlisle’s Money which is ready & I must beg of you to let me hear from you as soon as you can as till then I cannot fix the Pays there is no material alteration in the mines since I was with you last.
