To Mr Jno Dawson Sundrland

Sr The Extors of Sr Wm Blackett intending to make a pay at the Lead Mills next month have Directed me to make Speedy Provision for the same wch occations my desiring you will pay the Bearer the Ball of your Acct or send me a Bill on Mr Monkhouse for the same. I hope you have ere this gott Xtian Xtiansons Bill on Mr Tho Robinson paid and that you will return me that Money also with the Other is it is not paid pray Deliv the Bill to the Bearer  I am yrs &c  JR

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
