Sir I Rece[ived]  your Letter of the 2nd inst., inclosing your Bond to Miss Hannah Headlam for four hundred Pounds dated 4 inst & inclosed you receive Messrs Bell & Co’s bill on Vere Glynn & Hallifax for the same sum at 30 days date, which I shall be glad comes safe to your hand, I could not get it at a shorter date   I am etc  JR

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
