Arthur Mowbray Esqr Sherburn near Durham Newcastle 1st March 1793 Sir I was yesterday favour with your letter, the contents of which I communicated to Mr Blackett, who is still of opinion that the Fine you fix is very high, but as you seem determined not to make any abatement, he must be under the necessity of complying with your demand, tho’ from the Account we have of Mr Robson’s relations here, we cannot think so bad a Life as you apprehend him to be The New Lives to be put in are Thomas Richard Beaumont Esqr of Bretton Hall in the Parish of Silkston in the County of York & John Skelton Son of Mark Skelton Esqr of Birthwaite Hall in the Parish of Darton in the same County _ As soon as the Lease is prepared, you’ll please to inform me & I shall meet you at Durham & pay you the Fine etc & should any other transaction be necessary respecting this business, you’ll please to mention it I am etc J.S
