These are rough notes scribbled onto the back of summary accounts and from the date assigned to the accounts mentioned could have been taken by Mark Skelton perhaps on being sent to Newcastle for an early inspection of the northern estates inherited by Col Beaumont and Diana from her father in July of that year. The accounts were presumably presented to him by those he met on his journey
