      I am favored with your letter of the 2nd instant with the enclosure mentioned. The Calculation of what the Bishop might be entitled to etc which you put into my hand at Bretton, I laid upon the Table in the Library in which the inkstand is placed , Mr Cockshutt had some Papers on the Table at the time, and it may possibly (if not yet found) be among them. I now enclose the Acc[oun]t according to the form you required and you will please to observe that the Loss in the last Column is wrote in Red ink, which mode we were obliged to adopt, there not being space sufficient to admit without Confusion, another Column. In <accserving> to the evidence    taken here, in the Cause, one Person States the waste of Ore to be /20th and another 1/16th which on the mean /18th will reduce the Profits in the years when that waste happened, very considerably, but of this Alderman Blackett might be ignorant and therefore have sent you a correct Abstract of the Books of this Office which includes the gross Produce of the Weardale Mines since 1770.

	Mr Chisholme has written for this Acc[oun]t but having understood you, that it was your intention to make some remark upon it. I have informed him that you will transmit it. He also requested the Account ordered by the Chancellor’s Minutes, the Bishop’s Solicitor having called upon him for it, which I sent yesterday morning.
