In reply to your Letter of the 13 Inst. which I had the Honor of receiving this morning, I beg to inform you that the price of WBlackett Lead is for Refined £24-10 Sterling pfo[the]r and for Common £23b-10 pfo[the]r. The Stock of Lead in this market is very low, by reason of its being nearly all sold to the various Lead Merchants and which prevents me making any offer exceeding one thousand, or fifteen hundred pieces upon the above terms. – I have etc – MM

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale.
