John Breare Esq Newcastle 7th November 1807 Middleham Yorkshire I am favored with your letter of the 5 inst and request you will accept thanks for the information of Mr Ellis having contracted with Lord Pomfret and Mr Denys for a large Quantity of Lead at £29-10-0 at Stockton. The very large Sales made by Colonel Beaumont within the two last months will the less dispose him to part with the remainder of his Stock at the late Prices <im> less controlled by circumstances which at this time are not in contemplation. I much doubt the efficacy of the establishment of a Committee for adopting such <Aliances> as are most likely to frustrate the designs of the Buyers as inapplicable to the situation & Interest of the different Parties, and in my opinion the result would be the reverse of what is intended. I shall feel much pleasure in communicating to you any occurrences which may arise in the Lead transactions of this Office and am etc MM
