I have yours of the 30th past, p[er] first opportunity shall Expect three tonn of Iron from you but as yett I cannot be reconciled to the price, and pray lett mee know the meaning of the following words in your letters, and shall be part of <ca.h free> if itt be for my purpose itt must bee as formerly and <usd> from 1 ½ 1 ¾  to 2 Inch square which pray take notice of

If the parcell when itt comes be to content if any abatem[en]t I will take the remainder I am MB

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
