Ravensworth Castle Nov. 16. 1738 Sir The Inclosed came to us some time agoe when we were going upon a Collection of the Derwentwater Rents and being then in hurry it was mislaid and neglected . We therefore send you it Inclosed & beg you will give an immediate answer to Mr Corbett with regard to the Securities as Copies of emwill be wanted. The Original sent Mr Constable 16 Nov. 1738 Sir I have communicated your Letter of the 29th of September last to the Board of Dirctors of Greenwich Hospitall, who have order’d me to acquaint you, that agreeable to your desire your Debt of £5900, on the Derwentwater Estate, will be pay’d off at Lady day next with the Interst that will then be due thereon. The Directors desire you will please to order the Securities you have for the said Debt to be laid before His Majes[ty’s] Attorney or Sollicitor Generall, or Lett the Comm[issioners] have Coppys of them who will pay the Charges attending the same, in order to prepare proper Assignments thereof.
