To Mr Richardson of Meldon Ravensworth Castle February 6th 1735/6 It was very Surprizing to us to be informed at Dilston that you had tore out above Twenty Acres of the best part of your Farme & it was more so to be infor’d that it was by our privily and Consent. You know very well that at Morpeth where, you requested Tearing out, we told you it was what we had no power to grant, but that after the Commissioners were acquainted with it, if they consented we shou’d have no more to say against it, we upon our return home lay’d your Case before the Commissioners but have not had their Answer, yet we apprehend it cannot be in your favour & therefore you must be Subject to what the Custome of the Country and the Law in that Case directs. We are very Sorry you Shoud bring this trouble upon your Selfe & are Yours etc Nichs Walton Hugh Boag
