Dear Sir

      As we have sent our Acct. away Ending 30th June last we thought it proper to apprize you of it & at the same time begg to be Informed in what Situation our Acct. is for the Year preceeding.  It would be a pleasure to us to have these Accts. Passed regularly & hope nothing on our part has been wanting by which that before the Acct. has been retarded.  We will think our Selves much obliged to you for your good office in getting it finished so as not to Interfere with that which is Coming before you & your Answer hereto will greatly oblige

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
