Dr Sir

	We had the favour of yours of the 13th Inst in due course and we had one from Mr Maule the post before to which we have given answer this day.

	A Rental is now prepairing and will be sent you as soon as it is finished, and as you advise it will be proper to leave out Grindon Slate Quarry, Tho’ we do Expect the arrear will be all paid. We have wrote to Mr Maule that we are prepairing the Abstract of our Accot. which will be Examined and altered as he sees proper and then that it may be sent us down to draw over fair, sign and sware to which he will naturally bring it before you to receive your good offices in rectifying any Mistakes which we may have made thro’ inadvertanceand we have desired Mr Maule will give you leave to draw out the contingent  Accot. to 31st December last and any other thing which is necessary in which we doe not doubt your readiness.

	Mrs Twizle was Tenant of Hartburn Grainge till Mayday 1737 and has paid up all Rent due at the time for Hartburngrainge but stands in arrear £25 for Whittles and Lee Houses due then in Expectation of having an Allowance made by the Hospital in Consideration of an Expence which her Husband was at in Dividing the Comon belonging to the Estate she is now in partnership with Liddell and Gallowley and Arthur who have all paid their Rent for Hartburngrainge to May last. 

	A state of Keswick Arrears shall come with the Abstracted yearly accot.

	Herewith you will receive a Bill on Mr Benja. Skut for five Guineas which pray accept of in Consideration of the trouble with which you will be attended in drawing one and putting our accot. forward Ending 31st December last in which we are well assured of all the good offices which are desired by Dr Sir  Yr most Hble Servts
