John Ibbetson Esqr Newcastle 12th May 1800 Sir We have reced Mr Dyers Letter of the 9th Inst directing us to purchase the Nether Mire House Estate for the Hospital if that can be effected for a sum not exceeding £500 but as we have been informed that £700 are asked for it we do not expect there is any chance of effecting the Purchase; we shall however make further inquiry and acquaint the Board with the result. We are Sir Your most obedt Servts Walton & Turner [Printed notice:] TO BE SOLD, An Improveable Estate in Hexhamshire, called Nether-Mire-House, being Copyhold of Inheritance, held of the Regality or Manor of Hexham, under the yearly Copyhold Rent of 2s, together with an allotment of the Common called, Hexhamshire Common adjoining the same, containing about 6 Acres, and also 3 Stints, & four fifths of one Stint upon the intended Stinted Pasture in Hexhamshire, Also one other Allotment, part of Hexhamshire Common aforesaid, staked out in respect of the said Estate, near to Earthly Mire, otherwise Intack Estate containing 5 Acres, Christopher Winter the Tenant at Nether Mire House, will shew the several Premisses upon application to him for that purpose, and for further particulars apply to Mr John Bell, at his Office Hexham Abbey.
