To Mr John Maule Ravensworth Castle March 31. 1738 Dear Sir We recd. yours of the 25 of March Inst by which we are sorry to find the Accot. we made out disapproved of by Mr Hunter, as we are afraid so much time will be taken up in the Alteration and sending it down to us, that it will not be got done before the first passing of Accots. – we have no Manner of Objection to any method Mr Hunter Proposes, as the receipts and payments will be the same in whatever way it is done, but we think the Paper we sent you shews the pticulars of the Collum of Rents and arrears, shews all thant can be shewn in the Accot. in any Shape; we have however no manner of objection to it being done in the Shape proposed or in any other, as we do not doubt but you will give it all the Dispatch that’s possible. We wish the board may not take it amiss that the Accot. was shewn to Mr Hunter before it came bfore them, but we have wrote to Mr Corbett to desire he may apologise for us if there is occasion and not to lay the Accot. we sent before them, as it will be altered into another forme.
