Farnacres 5th Decem[be]r 1792 Dear Sir I have taken the first opportunity of considering the intended application of the Hexhamshire & Allendale Proprietors to the Lord of the Manor. I think it w[oul]d be impossible or nearly so, and certainly be attended with great expence & hazard if practicable to perambulate the Boundaries at this Time of Year; and therefore I w[oul]d not ask Mr Beaumont to give any directions for that being done immediately as I think the Month of March is as early as any thing of the kind ought to be attempted. Grindon Bill is I expect before Mr Williamson and the other Bills are in great forwardness. I am Dear Sir Yours sincerely Nich Walton Junr [annotated in pencil:] Mr Nichos Ruddock Sir We the undersigned Proprietors and Agents of Proprietors having Right of Common on Hexhamshire and Allendale Common beg leave to represent to you that the delay which has already happened by not Perambulating the Boundaries of the said Common according to the Directions of the Act of Parliament for the Division and Stinting thereof will be found to be injurious in many respects to the Proprietors in general and has a tendency to increase the Expence of carrying into execution the intention of the several Persons interested in this Business. We therefore request that you will have the goodness to give Orders that the Boundaries aforesaid may be Perambulated at some Time as early as the weather will permit the ensuing Spring and in case the Season of the year should cause it to be unpleasant to you to attend in person you will be pleased to direct that the perambulation for your part may be performed by your Agents We are Sir Your most Obed[ien]t & h[um]ble Serv[an]ts December 1792 To Thomas Richard Beaumont Esq Bretton Hall Yorkshire
