Mr. Mulcaster

      I have received both your Letters one of the 1st. the other of the 9th. and have wrote to Mr. Wm. Brown Junr. to let you have some of the Coals you mention – As to the Price it is immaterial but ready Money is to be pd. for them so you will send Money accordingly; & it will be necessary to give a Line to Mr. Wm. Brown Junr. desiring to have [underscored: ‘the small of the Free Coal’] as I have acquainted him you will do so, and also that ready Money will be paid.   The other Matters of Business we must let alone till we see each other, which will I hope be on Thursday or afterwards this Week.   I am much concerned for the Loss of the poor Man at Stublick Colliery – I doubt they want Skill

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale.
