      Above I send you an Extract of a Letter reced here on Tuesday last and desire you will take care that the Silver is taken off as clean as possible at all Times. I have not yet heard how the Gentlemans Assay turned out, when I do, you shall be Informed til then it is not certain whether the Cake was fine or not; but I suppose there will be ground of Complaint tho' Small. I am

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
