To Mr Thos Simpson Attorney in Law at Penrith Ravensworth Castle July 15th 1737 A Coppy of Mr Waltons Letter dated 21st June last was Sent him this day with the following Letter. The above is a Coppy of a Letter wrote you the 21st June last which we doubt not came to your hand, tho’ we have not been favoured with Your Answer. What is therein desired was intended to be of use to the Hospital & not of any particular use to us, therefore we humbly presume it might have been favoured with an Answer of Some kind; We are very well assured no one is more capable of Setting the Hospital right in what is mentioned in our Letter to you of the 21 June last; than Your Selfe & we did also believe none would more readily do so; therefore we conjecture a miscarriage in the Letter may be the Occasion of it, but if it should not be so, we cannot; with Submission think the Hospital or us well used. When this comes to your hand we shall hope for Your Answer & would hope nothing would prevent your free Correspondence with us in all Affaires to the Hospital & we are Sir Yours etc NW HB
